Carrying a knife won’t keep you safe ❌ Hertfordshire joins the national Sceptre campaign (18–24 May) to tackle knife crime. 🚨 Officers will be out across the county raising awareness, engaging with young people, and offering safe ways to surrender weapons. My office has funded knife bins across the county as part of the Knife Angel’s lasting legacy, providing safe disposal options and supporting ongoing efforts to reduce knife crime. 🛠️ Tool theft isn’t just about stolen equipment; it’s about stolen livelihoods. I’ve been hearing from tradespeople across Hertfordshire whose tools have been stolen, jobs cancelled, and families left paying the price. That’s why I’ve funded free SelectaDNA forensic marking kits to help protect tools and deter criminals. The kits use a unique forensic marking solution which can be applied to tools and equipment, making them traceable and far harder for criminals to sell on.
