I forgot how touching Onimai was. It can flick from ecchi to wholesome very quickly. The scenes where he uses his second chance to reconnect with his sister and the world are lovely. I remember being inspired to recover from hikikomori life after watching it the first time.

Eventually, I think, people become calloused and hardened from difficult situations and start building walls. I’m glad I can catch myself in the middle of building these walls so I can tear them down again. Opening up and being vulnerable is scary. But I think it’s worth it.

It’s interesting how Japanese vtuber fans write a lot of articles about vtubing culture and at times self-correct in introspection. I normally see vtubers be the ones writing such articles in the english sphere.

@hololi I was never a fan of K-pop unless kung yung mga magulang ng students ko request that I transcribe one for their kid to learn on the piano. Para sa akin, banger yung "Golden". I might be a tourist sa K-pop but after watching the movie, it was alright.

I was honestly into the occasional yuri like Bloom Into You and Cruddy Self, but people just get… so annoyingly performative with it that I eventually started hating all yuri media. I have over a dozen untouched yuri VNs on steam that will never see the light of day.

I need to return to reading visual novel kino. Last one I read was The NoexistenceN of You and Me.
