I used to have this neighbour in school, Sam, who could borrow anything. And if you lent Sam something... Just forget it. He was always borrowing one thing or the other from plates to blenders, irons, even buckets. And he hardly ever returned them. So you had to knock on his door whenever you needed your own property. That's when he would suddenly start washing the blender he borrowed two days ago. Or suddenly remember that a "friend" borrowed your iron from him. Or finally tell you he had mistakenly broken your bucket. So it was either he never returned your stuff... or he returned it damaged. Eventually, everyone in the compound stopped lending him things. Even new occupants already knew not to lend him anything. Except one guy...
