@Petco @IAMS Idk how or what happened, but somehow my cats food bag came mixed with what seems to be dog food. Pic was taken after we dumped it into trays to sort out the big pieces so my cats could eat it.

@troymore Though chicken is the first ingredient, the level of salmon in our product meets the criteria outlined by AAFCO for a "Salmon Recipe" name. You can find more information in AAFCO Regulation PF3 (c)(2)(A-B) 🧡

Why is this called "Salmon recipe" when the main ingredient is chicken? @IAMS The cat likes it, but a little more honesty in labelling would be appreciated.

@TylerTwoDabs If a nutrient is labeled as 'not recognized as essential by AAFCO,' it doesn't mean it's not beneficial! It means AAFCO doesn't consider it necessary, but it can still be beneficial for pet health. 🧡 DM us for more info.

@IAMS, are you guys able to clear this up because it looks like you're telling two different stories on your bag. And anyone else that sees this, please explain why it says it. Not recognized as an essential nutrient by the AAFCO. But then says it's meets levels by the AAFCO.

@IAMS Why do the ingredients on your site not list by-products? Purchased some cat food because it didn’t show by-products online, but then once I received it, the ingredient list on the carton is different and it does show by-products. Very misleading.

@IAMS Hi there! Bought a big bag for my senior cat. The pieces are GIANT for a old guy. He ate it first and threw up a pile of whole pieces of this kibble. I can't give it to him anymore and have to give it away. He's too old to be struggling unnecessarily with his food :(
