Every minute spent complaining is a minute spent not solving the problem. You choose your mindset. Do it wisely.

Here are my 4 things for all educators to live by in 2019: 1. Your mental well-being is more important than ANYTHING 2. Talk, share, connect & collaborate 3. Your family is more important than your job 4. You make a difference in the lives of everyone you work with every day

When we are authentic it gives permission for students do the same and then we can step back, watch, listen, and learn with them. There are no best practices for ALL students so we learn what is best for this one student today in this moment. #teachlikeyourself #corwintalks

One of the limits of relying on paper-and-pencil assessments is that correct answers can hide confusion while incorrect answers can mask understanding. In interviews, I listen and I learn.

I'm always skeptical about claims for "what works" and "best practice." Best for everybody? In all situations? For all teachers? Research should never supplant teacher judgment. It can be a guide but not a solution.

We can no longer bring teachers to the same PD and expect them to implement. You must deliver PD and follow up with what happens next to make it a sustainable process. (Stepney) #RTMK12
