In this 'Formal Statement', KU is using tactically vague, passive-aggressive & responsibility-deflecting language to allow their management company to subtly blame Zhao Lusi while positioning themselves as professional, patient and wronged. 1️⃣ "Our company was deeply shocked and caught off guard" KU frames Zhao Lusi as the aggressor who acted unpredictably & unfairly while painting themselves as the victim of an 'unprovoked' public outburst. 2️⃣ “maintaining friendly and open communication with Ms Zhao Lusi" They are implying that Zhao Lusi is the one who became uncooperative & difficult while self-praising themselves 3️⃣“We have diligently fulfilled our duties... never engaged in any illegal or contract-breaching behaviour.” They jump to legality, which is an oddly strong denial unless they feel accused. They avoided addressing mistreatment, neglect or mismanagement (which might not be illegal but could still justify a public callout) 4️⃣ “...considering her physical and mental well-being...” They are suggesting that her behaviour may be influenced by instability. While dodging the issue by implying she is not well and not because they did anything wrong. 5️⃣ “...any irrational behavior may damage the artiste's image and harm partners.” This is a warning dressed as concern. They are pretending to care about her image while actually undercutting it. #JusticeForZhaoLusi FREEDOM FOR ROSY

KU released a Response to #ZhaoLusi, questioning Zhao Lusi’s judgment & mental stability while shifting responsibility onto her for the public fallout. "Yesterday, upon learning about the content of Ms Zhao Lusi’s Weibo post, our company was deeply shocked and caught off guard. However, given our long-standing respect for Ms Zhao Lusi’s opinions and the amicable cooperative relationship between both parties. Along with the need to respond to public concern and speculation, we hereby formally state the following: Over the many years of our collaboration, our company and Ms Zhao Lusi have supported each other and grown together. It has been a great honour for us to work alongside such an outstanding artiste. We have always remained committed to our responsibilities, maintaining friendly and open communication with Ms Zhao Lusi. While diligently fulfilling our duties as a management agency and providing full support for the development of her career. At no time have we engaged in any illegal or contract breaching behaviour. Especially after Ms. Zhao fell ill, out of consideration for her physical and mental well-being, we have consistently prioritised her wishes and actively coordinated external matters on her behalf. We are fully aware that public figures must speak and act with caution, as any irrational behavior may not only damage the artist’s public image but also potentially cause significant harm to her partners. Our company has also quietly endured immense pressure and has done our utmost to minimize negative impacts and reduce losses. In all honesty, we have always taken on the responsibilities expected of a management company, offering the artiste appropriate advice and guidance. Should Ms Zhao Lusi have any doubts or concerns about our work, we welcome open communication and negotiation at any time. We respect and will give full consideration to any reasonable and lawful requests made by the artiste. However, we sincerely hope that Ms Zhao Lusi will refrain in the future from making vague public posts online that may mislead the public and give rise to misunderstandings of the facts. Going forward, we will continue to fulfill our obligations as stipulated in the management contract and remain committed to walking alongside the artist, jointly facing and resolving any issues that may arise. We do not wish to occupy public resources unnecessarily, and in order to prevent public attention from shifting undesirably, we sincerely ask the public not to overly focus on this matter and to allow Ms Zhao Lusi the space she needs to fully recover."

What Actually Went Down to Lusi During Filming Almost Lover Fansites (Her, Sweetheart, Forever, etc.) were following Lusi while she was with the Almost Lover filming team in Hangzhou. They knew she was going to the hospital but had no idea why or how serious it was. Rosy Fanclub and others kept asking daily for updates, but her studio just ignored everyone—no answers, no transparency. From Dec 14 to Dec 24, Lusi had already been sick for over ten days, and fans were left in the dark. 14 Dec: • Lusi was filming while sick. By the afternoon, she couldn’t even walk and had to be helped into a wheelchair, using oxygen tube at the hospital. • Right after treatment, they shoved her back into filming until late at night and forced her to discuss the script, which they had changed almost of it • She was left alone (with just her assistant and bodyguard), sick and waiting for hours to be picked up by a car provided by the Almost Lover team. Proof: tinyurl.com/3hjvkt6s 14-17 Dec: • They kept her working with no breaks, no care just chasing money. 18 Dec: • She collapsed on set and was rushed to the ER. • She was hospitalized on this date. • Her body finally gave out; by this point, she couldn’t even speak or walk 19 Dec: • Her studio? They didn’t care. While Lusi was hospitalized, they were busy CHARGING fans for tickets to a Jan 5 fan meeting. Seriously? She’s in the hospital, and they’re milking her for money. • To make it worse, some clown spread a fake rumor that she went for a manicure. No proof. They deleted their own account. • this time she was literally in the hospital. 22 Dec: • Lusi sent a desperate message to her friend Zhi Rui, begging her to “Save me” and asking her fans to take the fastest flight available to get her out. 25 Dec: • The studio said they’d release a statement, but they didn’t. They claimed they needed approval from the Almost Lover team. Suspicious, right? 26 Dec: • A passerby leaked a photo of Lusi at the hospital. The truth went viral. 27 Dec: • The studio finally released a statement, but it was full of lies. They revealed that she suddenly sought medical attention on 18 dec even though she’d been sick since at least Dec 14. 28 Dec: • Lusi’s friend Weixiao said she’s safe but not well, implying her life had been in danger before. She also hinted that someone needed to take responsibility and explain. • And it’s confirmed that she has SYMPTOMS of aphasia and is slowly recovering her ability to walk and speak. • They exchanged 300 messages because she still couldn’t talk and was undergoing rehabilitation. 31 Dec: • Lusi’s friend Song Nanxi exposed the truth: Lusi was bullied, beaten, and dragged into a toilet by her agency boss of KU Media since 2019 • Zhirui shared a screenshot reveals that on the 22 dec Lusi asked for her to come to Hangzhou and said "Save me" using any plane available at that time. Big Yikes: i) Lusi’s health had been worsening since she joined the Almost Lover team. Over 1.5 months, she deteriorated, and nobody cared. ii) If that hospital photo hadn’t leaked, they’d still be covering this up. Conclusion Almost lover team, KU agency and studio worked her into the ground, abused her, and let her suffer in silence. They’re not just greedy, they’re straight-up evil. Imagine monetizing a fan meeting while she’s literally in the hospital I STAND WITH ROSY #FreeZhaoLusi #TruthForZhaoLusi

With the consent of #ZhaoLusi, her friend has just revealed a horrifying anecdote on Lusi being physically, verbally and emotionally abused by people in her company since 2019 "I’m truly furious. These are some things I want to reveal as her good friend. Back in 2019, something happened that I’ve been keeping in my heart for a long time.... It wasn’t until I came to Hangzhou and saw her sitting in a wheelchair, looking incredibly frail and thin, that I fully realized the weight of it. Although I wasn’t involved in what happened this time and can’t speak to it, I told her that emotions can’t be bottled up; they need to be expressed and released. As we talked, we revisited that incident from 2019, and it became clear that she was never truly able to let it go. Since that’s the case, even if it means being criticized or misunderstood, it’s better to speak out. In April 2019, during a break in her schedule, Lusi was in Beijing auditioning for roles. At the time, she didn’t have a place to stay, so she stayed at my house. During the day, we were both busy with our own work and only occasionally ate and chatted together. But one night, I came home, turned on the light, and found her curled up in the living room in the dark. I asked her what was wrong, and she said, “I don’t know why they hit me. I’m really scared.” I was shocked. “Why? There has to be a reason, right?” She told me about someone who had dragged her into the bathroom and berated her for two hours, saying things like how useless she was, why she couldn’t land a role, and how she should reflect on why she hadn’t been cast as a lead actress before. They criticized her weight and said she wasn’t as good as others, just constantly putting her down. This went on until 2 AM. Finally, because Lusi stayed silent, that person slammed the door and left. Lusi, feeling aggrieved, grabbed her bag and opened the door to leave. It was drizzling outside. That person chased after her, seemingly trying to grab her. We’re not sure whether they intended to slap her or pull her hair and missed, but in any case, she was hit. She was terrified. Over the years, we’ve talked about this incident many times, and I’ve always felt guilty for not realizing how much it had been weighing on her. Both she and I thought that openly discussing what happened meant she had moved on. Lusi has been doing better and better, so we assumed she wasn’t dwelling on it anymore. But when I found out she still wakes up in terror from nightmares about it, I realized that this issue was far from resolved. At the time, I asked her when it happened, and she said it was the night before. She had only gotten home to sleep at 5 AM, after a dispute around 4 AM. near the entrance of that residential complex. Since I had left early in the morning, I didn’t find out about it until I came home that evening. Back then, we were both so young and knew that even if we reported it to the police, we’d need evidence. We were also worried that without evidence, justice might not be served. So, Lusi and I went together to look for surveillance footage. I asked her if she had told her family. She said she didn’t want to. She didn’t want to burn bridges because her contract hadn’t expired yet, and she feared involving her parents would lead to them having to pay compensation, which would make her feel guilty. For the next few days, she hardly slept. How could she sleep under such circumstances? I ask you, why should someone who hasn’t done anything wrong have to bear such humiliation and injustice? What did she do wrong? The next day, Lusi was summoned to the company. With just a simple “I’m sorry, I was drunk,” it was brushed aside and ended. Later, we found out that the first thing this person did in the morning was call Lusi’s mom, saying how disobedient Lusi was. They were clearly planting a seed, trying to make sure that no matter what happened, her mom would “understand” #TruthForZhaoLusi

𝑾𝑯𝒀 𝑨𝑹𝑬 𝑾𝑬 𝑫𝑬𝑴𝑨𝑵𝑫𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑻𝑹𝑼𝑻𝑯? #TruthForZhaoLusi Here’s why: You might wonder why we are demanding the truth when our focus should be on #ZhaoLusi’s recovery. We are calling for an official statement because recent hot searches have distorted the narrative—placing unwarranted blame on Zhao Lusi, questioning her mental state, spreading random diagnoses, misrepresenting her past statements, distorting facts, and altering timelines. YXH rumors are running rampant, and all of this could be addressed with a clear and simple statement from the Almost Lover drama team, Director Deng Ke and Ku Media. It is standard practice, or at the very least, basic courtesy, to issue an acknowledgment, especially for someone as significant as the lead actress in the series. Despite widespread speculation that Zhao Lusi’s hospitalization stems from an on-set incident, the team has remained silent—even failing to extend public well-wishes for her recovery. The severity of her condition is life-threatening—she was unable to speak or walk, her head required constant support—and yet, still, no word from the team. It has been more than 10 days since she was hospitalized, which should have been enough time to release at least a statement. This prolonged silence only fuels further misunderstanding, and that is why we are urging them to speak up now. While Zhao Lusi focuses on her recovery, she cannot defend herself and has even entrusted a friend to speak on her behalf. Her friend shared: “As for her condition and the truth about what happened, it’s not my place to explain what occurred, nor should Lusi have to reopen her wounds to discuss these matters. I hope someone will take responsibility and provide an explanation.” We understand there may be legalities involved that could delay their response, but this situation demands urgency. An official statement is necessary to clarify the truth, dispel harmful rumors, and protect Zhao Lusi from further unwarranted speculation. We urge the production team, Director Deng Ke, and KU Media to fulfill their responsibility and address this matter promptly.
