@benonwine I can separate people from their politics. I have loved Bruce since 1973, & seen him perform amazing shows over the years. I'm skipping this tour, because he warned it will be political. I don't disagree with him-I just don't want to listen to that at a show. I hear it enough.

I can’t deny it… Bruce Springsteen has made some absolutely incredible music that I absolutely love! 🎸 But honestly, I find his politics so distasteful now that it genuinely kind of ruins it for me. Can you separate the artist from their politics?

I have to go-about to not be bored-but I will say before I go. Your teachings haven't gone anywhere. They just have new ones.

We're talking about the 1970s here, and I suspect you're way younger than that 🙃 It was anything goes. Kids were encouraged to question, and we did.

And student-led discussions are out of anyone's control. If the class is political, or about social influences, these things will and should be discussed.

If you send them to a school that emphasizes the same (I was sent to a private school that did so) the world can be a big wonderful surprise when you learn there's more.

@TaraBull Hasn't every kid seen a movie or old TV show where people have held receivers to their ears? They'd have known to start there. I've personally seen kids bewildered by rotary phones, but even toddlers know to start with the receiver to the ear!

Parents gave their kids just 4 minutes to figure out how to use a rotary dial phone. The confusion was instant. Gen Z vs old school tech is pretty hilarious
