Unbelievable. And I will not be surprised if the one holding it is a Maharashtrian. My own mother in law has said so many times during family functions that British Raj was better . Have read a few other Maharashtrians say that some elders in their family say this too .
Of course I couldn’t say anything in front of all but I surely do not have any respect for her . Imagine a lady who has seen the atrocities on her fellow Indians saying this .

My nana (maternal grandad) turned 101 years old earlier this month but if a bullet fired by the police under the British Raj would have strayed a few inches to the other side, he probably wouldn't have been able to see his 21st birthday.
There are a lot of interesting stories about my nana's legendary life but this one is among the most fascinating one and since it is related to a protest, I will narrate it in brief here.
Nana moved to Bombay (now Mumbai) from his village near Ahmedabad in the mid 1940s. It was an era when protests against the British Raj were aplenty.
During his early days in the city, he decided to join once such protest near Goldeval temple in South Bombay. The police under the British Raj opened fire at the protesters.
When the firing ceased, nana saw his kurta was full of blood stains and believed he had been shot at, only to realize it was the person next to him who received a bullet in the arm.
They rushed the injured protester to the nearby Sir HN Hospital (now Sir HN Reliance Hospital) for treatment. Nana returned home to realize just how close he was to death at the age of 19-20.
I took the time out to narrate this because I read a poster from a recent protest which read, "Simon come back". Irrespective of how disgruntled you are with the government in power, wanting Simon to come back (even as a joke) is an insult to every Indian who participated in the freedom movement.

Reacting to the videos, Sarma on Saturday said, "I don't think we should attack or troll Keshab Mahanta for the protest by his daughter. She may not follow her father's political ideology. Tomorrow when my son will practice law, he may defend someone whom I may not like." He said that once children become adults, their actions should not be linked with their parents. "I do not agree with the slogans she raised. When I meet her next time, I will definitely talk to her about it and try to make her understand that what she said was not right," Sarma said. One of the worst haters of BJP is the children of BJP leaders themselves, especially those studying/studied at elite colleges. The hate is so visceral they don't even hide it, despite knowing it could harm their parents' political prospects.
Saw a daughter of a BJP MP from Odisha celebrating Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation on her Insta story. That was alright, but next, her MP mother texted her on WhatsApp asking her to delete the story, saying Dharmendra Pradhan's PA was requesting it. Instead, she posted a screenshot of her mother's WhatsApp chat with the caption: "No PA to Dharmendra Pradhan, I'll not delete the story."
This behavior cones from a desperate need for peer validation. When BJP kids enter elite, left-leaning college circles, their family name instantly makes them social outcasts. To fit in with the cool crowd and prove they aren't like their "backward" parents, they perform absurd overcompensations, becoming the loudest, most hysterical critics of their own family's politics just to secure a scrap of peer acceptance.
Naturally, their politician parents quietly indulge this hypocrisy, viewing their children's posture as a necessary social tax.

🚨A Congress representative got Triggered by Harsh Dubey and started misbehaving on live television.
Harsh dubey was saying that : "The government should talk with genuine students not Rahul Gandhi, not the CJP leader or Akhilesh Yadav because they don't even know N of NEET".
"They are all born with silver spoons, How would they know the pain of a real student?"
A Congress representative got triggered with this and started verbal aggressive talk with Harsh dubey.
Harsh dubey and anchor had to request him to please don't abuse or fight.
