Members of the Iona Prep community were honored at the 2026 Don Bosco Dreams Gala at Glen Island Harbour Club. The evening featured performances by the Iona Prep Irish Musicians. Archbishop Emeritus Timothy Folan was also in attendance. It was a wonderful night!

And that’s a wrap on the 107th Commencement Ceremony! Congratulations to the Class of 2026. We are proud of all you have accomplished and cannot wait to see all that comes next.

Bro. Leto once again took to the stage for the announcement of this year’s Academic and Memorial Award recipients, celebrating the dedication, leadership, and accomplishments demonstrated by members of the Class of 2026 throughout their time at the Upper School.

Bro. Leto then continued with the presentation of this year’s Moore Legacy Medals and St. Columba Awards. The Alumni Award was then presented to Mr. Michael V. Petrillo LS’89, US’93, P’25,’26,’26 in recognition of his family’s continued dedication to Iona Prep and its mission.

Once the final diploma had been awarded, Valedictorian Michael Drummey '26 stepped to the podium to share reflections and words of encouragement with his fellow graduates and the entire Iona Prep community.

Following the Welcome Address, our MC, Mr. Alexander Malecki, introduced Upper School Principal Dr. Anthony Casella, who formally presented the Class of 2026. Next, Bro. Thomas R. Leto, took the stage to begin the presentation of diplomas to this year’s graduating seniors.

Our 107th Commencement Ceremony is officially underway! Rev. Justin Cinnante, O.Carm., opened the ceremony in prayer, followed by the National Anthem by Marco Calabro '26 on guitar. Now, this year’s Salutatorian, Daniel Resua '26, has taken the podium for the Welcome Address.

Last night, Mr. Richard Salerno P’02 won the 2026 WLHCSS Distinguished Social Studies Educator Award. Mr. Salerno has been leading our young men for 36 years now at Iona, and we couldn’t be more thankful for all of the lives he has impacted. Congratulations!

Tonight, we celebrated our annual Baccalaureate Mass honoring the soon-to-be graduates of the #ClassOf2026 and the brotherhood that guided our Gaels to this milestone. We also recognized faculty and staff celebrating 20 years at Iona Prep.

It was a bittersweet morning as welcomed the Class of 2026 back for their #SeniorSendoff. Grad practice and reminders, yearbooks and memories, it was all on the menu, along with some BBQ. The pennultimate event is tonight; Baccalaureate starts at 6:30. 💻 ow.ly/98gj50Z1O9p
