Hard to believe we're in a upper air shallow trough regime here across the Southeast. Yes we've seen some rain - 0.90" at my house since May 1 - but you'd think we would have been able to squeeze out some more. Now medium range is showing an upper ridge taking hold.

Working with AI chat bots (in my case designing a weather app) is like crack for the ADHD brain. Each time you come to some sort of conclusion or resolution, the chat bot offers more ideas or upgrades. Instead of just being content, the bot leads you down infinite pathways. 🤯

The Govee light product team must be working round the clock. Just continuously launching new products or next generation models.

Rain was looking like a pretty certain scenario for WNC on Saturday morning but first the ECMWF and now the GFS is showing rain being shunted to the south.

I'm guessing he was going for encapsulates or embodies and then conflates with simulate.

Wind direction today determined downslope subsidence. I'm just trying to figure out how the subsidence gave way to square formations. Must be the topography.

I used Notebook LM (8 news articles and 2 YT videos) to create this infographic on the growing wildfire threat here in Western North Carolina. It is worrisome. A pattern change in May would be most welcomed.
