मैं राजनीति में ताकत के लिए नहीं आया। मैंने ज़िंदगी भर ईमानदारी कमाई है। जब कोई बेईमान कहता है, तो चोट लगती है। इसलिए तय किया था कि देश के सामने निर्दोष साबित होकर ही बोलूंगा। आज दिल का बड़ा बोझ उतर गया।

For the last three years, thousands of people like me have been endlessly trolled and questioned for continuing to stand with AAP. I left London and shifted back two weeks after Arvind Kejriwal was arrested in 2024. Just couldn’t take it anymore. I was called an idiot and naive by my relatives, friends and neighbours. We faced endless humiliation from people around us. Media and random influencers became investigators and declared AK, MS and everyone guilty. “AAP is finished, you guys are corrupt. Tumne dhokha kiya, paise khaaye” falana dhimkana. Even the ones fighting the BJP played the game of political opportunism. People who saw firsthand the work done by AAP in health and education somehow completely stopped using their brains. A lot of people like me chose to stay silent. And continued working in the background. Not because we feared anything, but because we wanted the truth to come out on its own. In Delhi, we saw the wrath of agencies and media completely overwhelming people by their false narrative. We lost Delhi, even when we didn’t do anything wrong. Even after tirelessly serving the people. Even after working on issues that matter. And boy it did hurt so badly. But still, some of us always felt a sense of calm and peace. Because there was a conviction that we are standing with what’s right. Silence speaks a thousand words. And god knows how true this is. Today, I am proud of myself and every single individual who has stood their ground in last three years. So many cowards, including the likes of Rajyasabha MPs and Cabinet Ministers fled on the first signs of struggle. If you belong to the first category, I can feel what you are feeling. It’s not just AK/MS/Nair who have been acquitted, it’s all of us who have stood trials in front of their friends and families, defending this party and its leaders. We should feel proud of ourselves. We stood tall when so many didn’t. To the second category, go to hell. You won’t survive a day after you are thrown out. To be honest, I don’t care about what the result in Punjab or Gujarat or Goa is going to be. The idea of Aam Aadmi Party and the vision of AK and MS are way beyond one or two state elections. AAP’s vision of alternative politics, getting educated people to govern and serve India, and working on issues of everyday relevance is there to stay. Nothing can stop it. Nothing can. So yes. Today is a day to celebrate. But come tomorrow, let’s get back to work. We shall not stop till every child in India receives world class education, till every Indian has access to world class health facilities. We shall not stop till India truly becomes a motherland to every single Indian. We shall not stop till every Indian gets to live a life of dignity. We shall not stop till we fully realise our constitutional principles of liberty, equality and fraternity. Ladenge. Jeetenge.
