I don't understand the judges part of elections. Trying to use the Illinois Bar Guide and there are multiple positions where the only candidate listed is Not Recommended. But then is just nobody else running how does that happen

@mollyfleck Delft is a great base to be able to visit The Hague and Rotterdam. You can also stop at Haarlem and Leiden on the way from AMS. Plenty of 4 yo friendly options. Definitely go to Utrecht and the train museum but can be done as a day trip from Amsterdam. chatgpt.com/share/06e5de24…

@mollyfleck @mosermusic It's based on something called the TARANTULA file (lol), which after doing some digging I have learned *does not* include children in private school, homeschool, etc. Still interesting, but definitely limits the conclusions one can draw.

I was exploring CPS enrollment data using a very cool tool built by @mosermusic and was struck by the similarity between these two patterns. One shows the % of ES-aged kids that don't go to their neighborhood school and the other shows the 2023 mayoral runoff results.

There has not been a single accessible station on the @cta between Linden and Howard since June 25 through the end of July. Shameful.

@cta fail: not only was the red line delayed but it brought us to the wrong track at Howard, we had to use 2 elevators to transfer to the Yellow line, and then the train pulled away before most of the passengers could get there. Transfer coordination is critical w/ low frequency!

I was wondering why I've personally noticed an uptick in operators asking people not to smoke over the loudspeaker, but am I alone in having no idea about the CTA chatbot before now?

.@the48thward asks Carter about what CTA is doing about smoking on trains. Carter says CTA now has a chatbot to report smoking in cars, which notifies operator and can prompt them to give an announcement on the train you're on.
