@theJagmeetSingh In Ontario, an average medical visit to a family doctor or a walk in clinic is paid at only $36.85 (Not $70.00). With that payment, the physician has to pay staff and overhead. If you are going to post what a doctors visit costs, please get it right or be more specific.

$70 for a doctor’s visit. $30,000 for a surgery. I’m calling on each Member of Parliament to decide.  Either staff up & save our public health care system. Or allow funding to be used to set up for-profit clinics that will poach doctors and nurses. I know where I stand.

Looking at physicians’ EMR entries shows amount of non face-time clinical work done daily. Phone calls to patients, referrals completed after hours, medicolegal reports, Rx renewals, calls to specialists, preventive care reminders. Billing codes desperately needed.
