@DJSnM @EndlessPlaid Maybe propellant sloshing caused a hard start in multiple engines?

I slowed down and resynched the engine diagram during the booster engine restart, that's a pretty hard failure that damaged neighbours.

Congrats and a huge thank you to the SpaceX team that always delivers. This was an incredible first flight of a brand new vehicle. Our collective future flying amongst the stars has become so much closer.

Very good outcome for a totally designed vehicle. Looks like Raptor 3 reliability is the only major hurdle left.

After all of that. the Ship was bang on target. V3 is certainly robust. Raptor still needs some work.

@DJSnM The engines were probably destroyed on boostback startup. Also looks like it had no RCS control authority

So, I guess without the boostback the booster must have continued down range and entered at higher speeds. I'm wondering if this contributed to landing burn failure, or if this was just doomed after the failed boostback?
