The vast majority of Science and professional medical opinion is really not on your side here. But you aren’t trans, so why are you worried?

Watch the pronouns disappear from bios as Aussies read about the Tavistock Gender Clinic (which all our gender clinics are based on) closing due to what is essentially malpractice (with child victims). I won’t let you get away with pretending you did not know. “TERFS” told you!

@DaveyNodnol But… ‘she’ and ‘he’ are literally gendered pronouns. That’s what they are by definition.

@Mysisila @jpossj @angijones You’re right! This doesn’t have to be a big deal! If the pronouns you use (and people assume you to be) align with your gender and sex, then that’s great for you! Nobody is asking you to change yours… so just let the they/thems crack on? What’s it to you?

@DaveyNodnol Right, so you do use pronouns for yourself. Thanks for confirming, I was getting a bit confused there! :) So you just don’t like broadcasting which pronouns you use for yourself? Does it cause you actual harm to communicate the pronouns you use/have with the world?

@DaveyNodnol Would you use the gender neutral ‘they’ to refer to them until you found out, or would you just assume ‘he’ or ‘she’ and hope that you’re correct?

@DaveyNodnol So, if someone new is speaking to you via email, and they have a gender neutral (or an unfamiliar) name… if there aren’t visible pronouns in the email tag, do you just ask them how they like to be referred to? Doesn’t that take longer, and is just far more awkward?

@DaveyNodnol @kissames @jpossj @angijones I’m being honest? So, are you being forced to use pronouns for yourself that you don’t use in everyday life? Is someone at your company forcing you to use (for yourself, in your email), for example, they/them … when you actually only use he or she for yourself?
