I am very proud to announce the release of the first version of Private Token : the first full stack dApp leveraging zkSNARKs in @NoirLang with Homomorphic Encryption to create a token with private balances. Try it now on Sepolia testnet : privatetoken.xyz 1/3

I don't know if everyone realizes, but the Zama auction is running on Ethereum ENCRYPTED. This is just a preview of what the future will look like: encrypted blockchains, seamlessly integrated into existing products and UX.

> Sounds a lil bit anti-islam but hey Fuck statements like this. Similarly, fuck claiming that standing up for Gazans', West Bankers, Lebanese, Syrian people's right to live in peace and not get encroaching settlements, constant drone strikes and bombs is antisemitic. And fuck claiming that standing up for Ukrainian people's right to live in peace and not be invaded is Russophobic. And fuck not even noticing the needless and extreme manmade suffering in Sudan, Myanmar, North Korea and elsewhere. And fuck the possibility that in the future statements like this will have to include a line for Greenland. We stand for human dignity. That is the bottom line. You can disagree on details of individual situations and what specific actions hurt or help, but the bottom line in resolving such issues must be a common agreement that the underlying goal is to protect the dignity of all people. This is more important than political teams. There are also people who are on the same political team as you, but whose words and actions clearly demonstrate that they are not interested in human dignity - genuine *phobes who use appeals to freedom and life opportunistically. This must also be opposed. Again, the north star is human dignity. To be ultimately more interested not in pushing the people you oppose down, but in lifting the people you feel sympathy for up. If you observe the long-term pattern of how someone acts, you can tell.

@critesjosh_ ngl I am a bit sad to not being whitelisted among the "early contributors track" despite my Elgamal Noir library being mentioned on Aztec github since more than 2 years ☹️ Good luck for the auction tho, I still believe privacy is important, else I wouldn't be working at ZAMA!

.@zama_fhe, The Company That Might Change Privacy Forever! Privacy has always been the missing piece of Web3. Every transaction is public, every wallet traceable. Transparency turned surveillance. Zama wants to fix that, not by hiding the chain, but by encrypting computation itself. Zama builds tools around Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) : a breakthrough that lets computers run operations on encrypted data without ever decrypting it. In simple words: ▪️Imagine a bank calculating your loan rate without ever seeing your income. ▪️Or a DeFi protocol calculating your yield without knowing your balance. Impressive, right ? That’s FHE in action. Zama’s main innovation is the FHE Virtual Machine (FHEVM) : a version of the Ethereum Virtual Machine that supports encrypted variables. It means developers can write private smart contracts in Solidity just like usual, but everything; balances, votes, inputs stays encrypted. The math still works, but the data stays secret. The question, you and me are asking : Does Zama’s approach require a new blockchain ? Well, NO. It can plug into existing L1s and L2s like Ethereum, Base, or Polygon. That’s huge: developers can add confidentiality without migrating their ecosystem. In a world where everything is tracked, Zama is betting on mathematical privacy. The next wave of Web3 won’t just be fast or scalable. It’ll be private by default✅

Zama is partnering with @OpenZeppelin to bring confidential smart contracts to production. Think ERC20, but your balances and transactions are confidential by default.

@cryptodavidw You no longer need to do a thres decrypt in the middle of computation, this feature is even deprecated currently. This code snippet is from an outdated version. Now you do branching in FHE, using a conditional multiplexer FHE.select(ebool condition, euint X, euint Y)

I'm always amazed at how simple the FHEVM makes encrypted ERC-20 tokens: you just get these new encrypted int (euint) types (which implicitly come with a ZKP that they correctly encrypted a value within the type's range) and then you can operate on them freely. For example, here the TFHE.lte computes a boolean that indicates if the amount is <= the balance of the account (both are encrypted remember!). Then, to use the result in the clear, a call to TFHE.decrypt is called which ends up triggering some threshold decryption (slow/blocking unfortunately IIUC). And that's it, in 5 lines of code you implemented encrypted tokens. That shows how simple the FHE or MPC paradigm is compared to ZK.

🚀 Excited to share the most inspiring work I’ve been part of this year: "Learning to Reason without External Rewards" TL;DR: We show that LLMs can learn complex reasoning without access to ground-truth answers, simply by optimizing their own internal sense of confidence. 1/n

@0xromif Not sure why you compare strings to get the token supplies, instead of just comparing addresses. Comparing strings can be very easily cheated, just create a new ERC20 with same symbol #L128" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/romain-mg/unkn…

Been working on smthg over the past several weeks: introducing Unknown Finance, the confidential index fund protocol built on Ethereum, powered by FHE. Unknown Finance allows investors to invest in market-cap-weighted baskets of cryptocurrencies while keeping their investment data (deposits, withdrawals, number of shares owned) fully confidential. The protocol uses @zama_fhe's Solidity FHE library to enable tradfi-grade confidentiality. Shoutout @abbeyjaz for the support when I was stuck on technical issues. You can find the repo here: github.com/romain-mg/unkn…
