As Yom HaZikaron, Israel's Memorial Day, ends, we joyfully welcome Yom HaAtzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day—celebrating the 78th anniversary of its founding and the resilience and strength the country and its people have shown in the decades since that miraculous day!

Yom HaZikaron, Israeli Memorial Day, begins tonight. It commemorates the lives of those who died in the struggle to found the State of Israel, military personnel killed on active duty, and civilians killed in acts of terror. May their memories be an enduring blessing.

In 1919, the Jewish Welfare Board, the forerunner of JCC Association, hosted this Passover Seder for soldiers & sailors in Paris during WWI. Since then, the JCC Movement has connected Jewish military members and families to Jewish life. Now—as then—we wish you a sweet Passover!
