New interview with Kimera Chems just dropped in K-Hole. This interview is one of the more revealing RUO/vendor interviews I’ve seen in a while and it's not to be missed. Instead of the usual marketing script, it openly discusses why many COAs are basically marketing artifacts, why purity ≠ identity, why most APIs still trace back to China, how batch-to-batch variability is a real problem and why serious testing requires more than a single HPLC result. It also covers how GLPs reshaped, and arguably distorted, the entire peptide market, why many vendors likely couldn’t survive without GLP revenue and the growing divide between operators built on infrastructure vs operators built on branding Probably the most interesting part is how much emphasis they place on verification infrastructure itself, multi-lab testing, orthogonal methods, chain-of-custody, CHN analysis, batch-specific verification, and the idea that a “passed” COA without underlying data tells you very little. The interview also draws a hard line between education and usage advice, arguing that many vendors are increasingly drifting into “playing doctor” while simultaneously claiming RUO protection. Whether you agree with Kimera or not, this is one of the clearest looks at how a technically-focused operator currently sees the future of the RUO/peptide industry.
