I was right when I said BAFTA and BBC set up John, Delroy and Michael to be embarrassed and hurt, because putting a mic directly in front of John 40 ROWS BACK from the stage was a deliberate choice to record his Corprolalia vocal tics. They broke and violated his trust.

BAFTA needs to issue a proper apology to Delroy, Michael, John, and viewers for how abysmally they handled this.
Producers had 2 hours to edit that moment and chose not to knowing how it would be received, making it an intentional choice to cause hurt and embarrassment.

was at the BAFTA Awards (Im here rn actually). John Davidson had been involuntary ticking before the show started, and throughout. All guests were made aware before the show started and throughout why. I actually think the film “I swear” depicts and educates on this perfectly.

Not enough criticism is being directed at the broadcaster @BBC for even airing it (with a 1-2hr delay).

I’ve been trying to articulate myself about last nights BAFTA’s so apologies if my wording is clumsy.
I met someone at primary school with vocal tics so I’ve grown up knowing about Tourette’s. I understand it and the discourse online demonstrates how little is known about tics
