Congratulations to Karen—she has been central to this progress and is a terrific leader: disciplined, deeply grounded in our operations, and very clear on where Dow needs to go next. As Executive Chair, I’ll focus on long‑term strategy, governance, and key external relationships.

Today, Dow announced a planned leadership change effective July 1: I’ll move into the role of Executive Chair of the Board, and Karen S. Carter will become Chief Executive Officer of @DowNewsroom.

@FIIKSA @DowNewsroom Short-term we can meet rising energy demand through carbon storage management and blue hydrogen. Long-term, we believe advanced nuclear has attractive advantages over other sources of clean power, but it'll require collaboration and investment to make it a reality – together.

His life is a testament to resilience and determination. From fleeing Italy in 1940 and arriving in the U.S. speaking fewer than 50 words of English, to graduating college, serving in the U.S. Army, and rising to the position of CEO at Dow, his story is truly inspirational.

Today, we honor the life of our friend and colleague, Paul F. Oreffice. During his 40-year tenure at Dow, Paul was a transformative leader who steered the company through significant international growth, helping to shape the company we are today.

We change the composition of materials to make them stronger, more resilient, and purpose-built for the future. And we can do the same things for our businesses. If we act now, we can usher in a new era of progress, ensuring a sustainable, productive, and profitable future.
