Thank you for believing in our campaign to move South Carolina into the future. Our work is not over. While last night didn't turn out the way we hoped, Tally and I will never give up on South Carolina - and neither should you. Thank you for all the love and support.

This is exactly the kind of rhetoric that pushes men away from Democratic Party. Democrats can and should be proudly pro-woman. But that does not require treating men as the problem. A party that wants to win has to speak to men like it actually wants their votes.
Shannon Watts@shannonrwatts

We’re being told by pundits and politicians (mostly men) that we have to get on board with flawed messengers and candidates (mostly men) who will attract working class voters (despite any evidence that they actually appeal to them). I think I’d prefer to be in a party that looks at Republicans and realizes the best path forward is to raise the bar.

Credit to @ThirdWayTweet for this. Dems lost immigration when we ignored it, let Republicans define us, and got too worried about offending parts of our own coalition. All along, voters wanted a secure border and a system that’s both tough and humane. Time for Dems to lead!
Third Way@ThirdWayTweet

Americans want immigration enforcement without cruelty or chaos. Dems need a real alternative to Trump’s approach, not just to oppose it. We have a four-step plan out today to make enforcement lawful and accountable. Details from @NOTUSreports: notus.org/congress/third…

If you’re mad about Virginia, support a national gerrymandering ban. If you’re not willing to take map-drawing away from politicians in every state, you’re not mad about gerrymandering. You’re mad your side lost this round.

For too long, Dem politicians have taken positions based on what they *think* Dem voters want. But most Dem voters aren’t activists, they’re not on Twitter, and don’t talk like college professors. Most Dems just want smart, practical leadership. We should try giving it to them.

"This is a false choice," @JoeCunninghamSC tells @ScottJenningsKY. "You can be against Iran, all the terrorism they support, you can be against Maduro and toppling them... but when it comes down to strapping your kids, and sending them off to war, and spilling their blood, and adding billions and trillions of dollars to our national debt... to me that's a false choice." This is sus as hell. If the DNC got Democratic donors to fund a comprehensive postmortem that interviewed more than 300 people across 50 states, they should release it. We can’t move forward as party unless we learn from our past mistakes. This isn’t hard.
Xochitl Hinojosa@XochitlHinojosa

I could not agree more with this decision. We all know why Dems lost in 2024. The DNC has and should continue to make changes, and that is one of the reasons Dems have been winning up and down the ballot. Let’s stop looking back. Let’s look forward and continue winning.

Banning social media for kids 16 and under is mission-critical for our children and families. Parents shouldn’t have to face off against TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat by themselves. Right now, adolescence is a battle between adults and algorithms — and no surprise, the algorithms are winning. TikTok and Facebook’s business model is failing our kids. We’ve seen what happens when we give parents a helping hand: teen smoking dropped from the mid-30s to single digits, academic performance improved when we banned phones in classrooms, and drunk-driving fatalities fell when we set designated-driver norms. Parents can’t fight these battles alone. It’s time to step up for our shared values and core principles. Our kids deserve it and our parents demand it.
