We've seen some pretty terrified dogs in and out of the shelter but these photos break our hearts.💔 At the shelter Harlem was completely shut down. She had to be carried in and out of her kennel. While in the kennel she would keep herself plastered to the back and just watch from there. We don't know what happened in her past but her foster mom is going extremely slow with her. She did exit the cage on one instance only to run back in. What we are doing is slowly enlarging her space. Using a playpen so she can exit when she feels safe and with the advice of our trainer behaviorist, slowing gaining trust with lots of treats. She'll be slowgoing but the foster understood this completely going into fostering her. Welcome to Pound Hounds ResQ Harlem!
