The situation in the West Bank is extremely worrying, and I urged action to address settler violence. A little more detail on the police officer who was filmed calling an Al Jazeera journalist a "dog".... I originally identified him on Tuesday, and asked the Met Police for a statement. The press officer I spoke to was very helpful and tried her best, but for reasons outside of her control, the statement was not sent to me until after midday today – 48 hours later. @declassifiedUK ended up publishing the article shortly *before* the statement was issued. Perhaps, the Met were hoping we would chicken out of publishing it, and the whole thing could be kept quiet... Who knows? Thanks to the response the story has now had, including finally being reported by the mainstream media, I understand that the police will extradite the disciplinary process, so there may be further updates soon. @declassifiedUK is the only news outlet that does this kind of investigation.
