@Someoak1 @Cloudflare For local benchmarking we use crates.io/crates/criteri… For production systems, we use periodic flame-graph sampling to get the percent of time used per function. We combine that with total CPU time summed over all instances of pingora-origin to estimate time used per function.

Pingora handles 35M+ requests per second. In this post, we share how we freed up over 500 CPU cores by optimizing one function and announce trie-hard, the open source crate that we created to do it. cfl.re/3MGd5we
