From this morning’s @nytimes : “The U.S. Navy blockade of Iranian ports appeared to be working on Wednesday, with no Iranian-linked ships visibly able to leave the region since the blockade took effect 48 hours earlier, according to U.S. authorities and vessel-tracking firms.”

Weeks ago, I was told Iran had offered to suspend enrichment for five years, so that proposal is nothing new. I was also told that Iran had offered to immediately convert any enriched uranium to reactor fuel (from which it could not be further enriched) nytimes.com/live/2026/04/1…

.@drpezeshkian claim of the moral high ground conveniently left out: Iran’s massacre of protesters in January The summary judgment and hanging of protesters in recent weeks 47 years of arbitrary detention, torture and executions of political dissidents, religious minorities and others The beating death of Mahsa Amini for a “hijab violation” The systemic repression of women The deaths of hundreds of Americans by Iranian-backed proxies The deaths of thousands of Israelis by those same proxies And on, and on….. His phrase “unacceptable to any FREE person”, would exclude the overwhelming majority of Iran’s population…

Dismantle all major nuclear enrichment facilities  3. Retrieve highly enriched uranium  4. Accept a broader peace, security and de-escalation framework that includes regional allies 5. End funding for terrorist proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis 6. Fully open the Strait of Hormuz, charging no tolls for passage

Interesting development re: Lebanon Statement from Israeli PM Netanyahu "Prime Minister Netanyahu: In light of Lebanon’s repeated calls to begin direct negotiations with Israel, I instructed the Cabinet yesterday to open direct negotiations with Lebanon as soon as possible. The negotiations will focus on disarming Hezbollah and establishing peaceful relations between Israel and Lebanon. Israel appreciates today’s call by the Lebanese Prime Minister to demilitarize Beirut."
