Been commuting downtown a bunch lately on Red Line - trains are so packed. Huge contrast to the luxury of half empty trains on the-I-don’t-even-check-when-train-is-coming of being on Blue/Silver/Orange lines on southern side of Cap Hill.

@BarredinDC We’ve tried so many flavors of their wings and they’ve alll been mediocre at best. Don’t understand the love for the wings. Sad to see place fail as it had a nice mix of people, decent beer despite the elementary school class architecture.

After 2 years and a pretty large grant from DC, Duffy’s near Stadium Armory metro closing in 3 weeks. Also just crowned best wings in DC by Barred in DC followers.

@BarredinDC If you go back, hope you make it to Playa Del Carmen which has a great Mexican craft beer bar scene in the block or two around the Mahekal resort (we just stayed there for 3rd time). Club de la Cerveza and two others rock! Rough coming home night of the big DC ice storm

Never was into doing an all-inclusive resort but after going to the Iberostar Selection Paraíso between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen, not sure I’ll do a tropical resort family vacation again otherwise. Free club/camp had a friggin rehearsal and a performance most nights
