Today - @JohnWilliamson_ and I had planned to vote of non-confidence in the Trudeau government at the public accounts committee. Instead - Trudeau prorogued Parliament to prevent conservatives from bringing down the government. We need government with a fresh mandate to face Trump's tariff threat. Call an election.

Public Accounts will meet starting January 7 to address a motion of non-confidence in the Government. The committee’s non-confidence report will be tabled in Parliament on Jan. 27 and could be voted on by Jan. 30. The Government no longer commands the confidence of Parliament.

Auditor General Karen Hogan has notified Parliament that @OAG_BVG will table a set of audits on June 4. I am particularly interested in the Auditor's examination of public services outsourcing by the Trudeau government as well as the audit of the SDTC — aka the Green Slush Fund.

The House of Commons Public Accounts committee is meeting to hear how the Liberal government’s ArriveCAN app ballooned from $80,000 to at least $60-million. Liberal MP calls it a “sham process” but does this committee member think the Auditor General’s work is part of the farce?

The House of Commons Public Accounts committee will hold special recess meetings on $60-million ArriveCAN app on Tuesday, Feb. 20, and Wednesday, Feb. 21, w/ officials from the Public Health Agency and Public Services & Procurement Canada along with the Auditor General of Canada.

Canada's Auditor General will table her findings concerning the $54-million ArriveCAN program on Feb. 12 in Parliament and Public Accounts Committee hearings with CBSA, PSPC and Public Health will quickly follow.

I have used my authority as chairman of the Public Accounts Committee to call a special meeting Thursday with the Auditor General to address ArriveCan documents sent to @OAG_BVG and the impact on the $54-million ArriveCAN audit.

My statement Monday in the House of Commons on Moncton's decision to ban the Menorah at City Hall:

What a shame that Moncton City Hall backed down to antisemitism and is not displaying a menorah for the first time in 20 years. Conservatives stand with Jewish Canadians against hatred and bigotry. May menorahs across Canada bring light to the world.

It’s awful @MayorMoncton Dawn Arnold banned the Menorah lighting display supposedly to keep City Hall free from religion while permitting a Christmas tree and other Christian symbols to remain. Moncton should do the right thing and reverse this decision.
