Hello boys and girls, it’s just us this week (after back to back guest BANGERSSSSSS!) and we have sweet, sweet gist for you! In this episode, we speak about Artificial Intelligence and it’s dangers, engagement farming on twitter (we refuse to call it X), 50+ baddies living their best lives, how to actually throw a party, how christian content is not an excuse for mediocrity and some of our favourite Christian books and movies. We also get into some dilemmas like choosing between compatibility and a blue passport, dealing with a terrible roommate and who calls first after a fight in a “situationship” So like we said, sweet, sweet gist! Full episode now out on YouTube. Enjoy 🫵🏾

The heavy handedness and bullying, paternalistic nature of Nigerian private universities is a direct result of the decline of public universities. Parents and students are willing to enforce all sorts of indignities because they don’t have options or recourse.

In this rant I will talk about how many Nigerians don’t associate love with anything except difficulty. If you do something nice for them and you didn’t experience hardship/complain/suffer to get it done, it means nothing.

I’m starting to realize that parental neglect is more pervasive with most of us than I ever considered. So many folks conditions + what they’re seeking in romance or in friendship really come down to trying to *finally* get parented in the way they needed as a child.

Engaging with the Nigerian entertainment industry as it is, and not what you would love it to be is a deeply sobering experience.

My dear, we lie to ourselves A LOT in the Nigerian film industry. Let's start by asking where royalties come from and what setup in Nigeria/Nollywood enables them? We barely have terrestrial television, and streaming is a one-off payment. Where will these royalties come from?
iBK ⚡️@ibkoriginal

But if the producer is earning lifetime royalties from the film (and splitting % with other stakeholders), surely if it’s good, producer will eventually recoup ?
