It’s disheartening to see Canada’s immigration framework faltering so badly. I work with incredibly talented individuals—HNI entrepreneurs, brilliant innovators, top-tier professionals, and highly skilled workers—who could turbocharge our economy. Yet, time and again, their bids to settle here permanently are dwindling into the horizon, due to an outdated CRS points system At the same time, we’re ushering in huge numbers of less-skilled newcomers, putting enormous pressure on our already overstretched housing, healthcare, and public services. The priorities feel completely misaligned, and it’s tough to stomach. Canada🇨🇦 ought to be a magnet🧲 for the globe’s most exceptional minds and deep-pocketed visionaries. Instead, we’re alienating the very people who could drive prosperity and progress, all because our immigration approach seems disconnected from what the nation actually needs.

@AskKubeir Why is Canada still charging only $100 for a visitor visa, $150 for a study permit? Meanwhile, in the UK, we paid £2,900 for my son’s BRP which is just for 2yrs. And what does Canada collect for a three-year PGWP? A mere $255. By the way, he's even an American and a Canadian!
