A team of NGFOA J&K UT met the delegation of the 8th Pay Commission, which had arrived from Delhi,During the meeting, the team submitted a memorandum and briefed the delegation in detail about the grade pay disparities faced by Forest Department employees in Jammu & Kashmir.

The martyrdom of Late Shri Vikas Desai, Range Forest Officer, is a stark reminder of the grave risks faced by frontline forest personnel while protecting our forests and wildlife.

Forest personnel deserve timely promotions. File No. 00099 dated 25.03.2026, pending with @CMORajasthan, should be approved at the earliest. Its implementation will boost the morale of Forest staff, improve work efficiency, and strengthen forest & wildlife conservation

Today on 18th July 2025, under the leadership of the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, the Forest Minister met J& K in relation to the preparation of Forest Martyrs Day and he was requested that this year Forest Martyrs Day should be organized in Srinagar.
