I think he did answer the question. I take this as “no” to whether anyone in the government was also raided/searched and he’s not aware of anyone being questioned either. If anyone has real evidence that this is not true, feel free to email me: Sean.amato@rci.rogers.ca.

A lot of rumours flying around #ableg about RCMP raids... The Mounties tell me "multiple search warrants" have been executed related to health contracts, but they won't name anyone. So I asked the justice minister if he, or any of his colleagues, are involved in this.

Farmers, landowners, First Nations and environmentalists in eastern Alberta have banded together to fight a carbon capture pipeline. But as Sean Amato reports, politicians say it’s a crucial part of the MOU for a bitumen pipeline out west. #ableg edmonton.citynews.ca/video/2026/03/…

Alberta taxpayers are still owed $49M, AHS officials claim, from an Edmonton company that was raided by RCMP last week. As Sean Amato reports, government ministers refused to stop and answer questions on the matter Monday. #ableg #cdnpoli edmonton.citynews.ca/video/2026/03/…

I asked the gov’t if the $42M owed, as of Oct. is the current balance. A spokesperson told me “I think so” on the phone but then didn’t answer the question in a follow up email.

There's also a break down of where the meds ended up. Most of them were dumped. At most, only 16,000 were used in Alberta. Yikes. #ableg #cdnpoli

Friday news dump... Judge Raymond Wyant has released an update to his report into the Alberta health contracts scandal. He's concluded MHCare owes Alberta $42M worth of products. I've reached out to the gov't to see what they're doing to make taxpayers whole. #ableg #cdnpoli

The premier’s office has not responded to my request for an explanation of what is being done about the $42M that MHCare owes. Here is a statement from the ADM of Comms. Essentially, the gov’t is saying they didn’t create the problem and it’s not their jobs to fix it. #ableg

Alberta’s Bill 18, which seeks to drastically restrict access to medical assistance in dying, has sparked fierce reaction. As Sean Amato reports, some in the disability community are applauding it while others are considering court challenges. #ableg edmonton.citynews.ca/video/2026/03/…

Alberta’s premier says too many Canadians are accessing medical assistance in dying, so she’s bringing in new provincial restrictions. As Sean Amato reports, Danielle Smith is also willing to invoke the notwithstanding clause to protect the bill. #ableg edmonton.citynews.ca/video/2026/03/…

Albertans with disabilities joined the NDP Tuesday in urging UCP MLAs to support Bill 206, the Accessible Alberta Act. But as Sean Amato reports, government ministers say they already have a better plan and are spending more money to help. #ableg edmonton.citynews.ca/video/2026/03/…

@PVInspector Haha. Next you’ll be upset that our crime reporter didn’t do stories about all the people who didn’t commit a crime today!

@JSJamato Hey Sean, while it sucks that municipalities are losing out on 250 million it’s 6% of the total paid to them from oil and gas. Just like a broken record you highlight the 6% but say nothing of the 3.75 billion paid. You hate Danielle Smith so much, not a real journalist.

Alberta is bringing in a new plan to force oil and gas companies to pay their property taxes, possibly including the cancellation of licenses. But as Sean Amato reports, UCP ministers say more than $250 million may already be lost. #ableg #cdnpoli edmonton.citynews.ca/video/2026/03/…

@PVInspector @JSJamato Just to be clear, you think that journalists should cover this story: "Many oil and gas companies pay their property taxes" That's not a story. Having 200 companies in arrears and a quarter of a billion dollars in unpaid taxes is a story. Sorry if it hurts your feelings.

Justice Mah agrees with the ATA that they have suffered harm by Bill 2 and there is a serious issue to be tried here. But…he decided this is not “irreparable harm” and says it’s better for the public interest that kids be in schools for the next 6 months.

#BREAKING An Edmonton judge has denied an interlocutory injunction against Alberta’s Bill 2, which ended a 21-day strike of 51,000 teachers & imposed a contract on them. This means the ATA will not return to legal strike position. Full hearing in Sept. #ableg #cdnpoli

2 new recall petitions have been launched in Alberta, 1 targeting an NDP MLA, the other seeking to fire the leader of the Progressive Tory Party. All other recalls so far have failed to get enough signatures, and many didn't even come close. #ableg #cdnpoli
