İsveç’in Göteborg şehrinde hizmet vermekte olan Karsan Autonomous e-ATAK aracımızla ilgili olarak, dün kamuoyuna yansıyan bazı haberlerde eksik ve yanıltıcı bir algı oluştuğunu takip ediyoruz.
Kamuoyunun doğru bilgilendirilmesi adına belirtmek isteriz ki; 25 Mayıs 2026 tarihinde Göteborg’da operasyonda olan Autonomous e-ATAK aracımız, trafik akışı sırasında arkadan yaklaşan bir tramvayın teması sonucu hasar almıştır. Olayda herhangi bir yaralanma yaşanmamıştır.
Gerçekleştirilen ilk teknik değerlendirmeler, aracımızın otonom sürüş sisteminin süreç boyunca tasarlandığı şekilde çalıştığını göstermektedir. Autonomous e-ATAK, trafik ortamında çevresindeki engeli algılayarak güvenlik protokolleri kapsamında operasyonunu sürdürürken, arkadan yaklaşan tramvay yeterli takip mesafesini koruyamayarak araca temas etmiştir.
İlk bulgular doğrultusunda yaşanan olayın, otonom sürüş sistemi ile ilgili bir durum değil; şehir içi trafik akışı içerisinde gerçekleşen bir trafik olayı niteliğinde olduğu görülmektedir.
Olayın tüm detayları ilgili yerel otoriteler ve ulaşım paydaşlarıyla birlikte değerlendirilmeye devam etmektedir.
Karsan olarak, mobilitenin geleceğini güvenli, sürdürülebilir ve akıllı teknolojilerle şekillendirmeye kararlılıkla devam edeceğiz.
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
We are closely monitoring that certain news reports shared with the public yesterday regarding our Karsan Autonomous e-ATAK vehicle operating in Gothenburg, Sweden have created an incomplete and misleading perception.
In order to ensure accurate public information, we would like to state that our Autonomous e-ATAK vehicle, which was in operation in Gothenburg on May 25, 2026, sustained damage as a result of contact from a tram approaching from behind during traffic flow. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The initial technical evaluations indicate that our vehicle’s autonomous driving system functioned as designed throughout the process. While the Autonomous e-ATAK detected surrounding obstacles in traffic and continued its operation within established safety protocols, the tram approaching from behind failed to maintain a sufficient following distance and made contact with the vehicle.
Based on the initial findings, the incident appears not to be related to the autonomous driving system, but rather to be a traffic incident occurring within urban traffic flow.
All details of the incident continue to be evaluated together with the relevant local authorities and transportation stakeholders.
