This is an extremely difficult, traumatic moment for our City. Our hearts go out to the families and the victims of this tragedy. The rapid response from our first responders and police officers saved countless lives. I am very proud of them. APD officers bravely and quickly acted. Within 57 seconds of the first emergency calls being made, our EMS professionals were on the scene treating people. This is an on-going investigation. We will work to provide information as rapidly as possible, while conducting a professional and appropriate investigation and assuring it is done correctly. The information we have is preliminary, but this is what I can share: ➡️18 victims total with 14 victims taken to the hospital by EMS; three of those individuals are in critical condition. Three fatalities total (2 victims, 1 shooter) and one individual took themselves to Dell Seton. ➡️The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force is assisting APD on this investigation.
