Foreign Minister Fonseca today delivered remarks at the 26th Annual General Meeting of the Friends for Conservation and Development (FCD). Formed in 1989, the FCD is a non-profit organisation tasked with the protection and preservation of the Chiquibul/Maya Mountains National Park and buffer areas. At the meeting, the Foreign Minister spoke on the ongoing efforts to strengthen Belize-Guatemala cooperation, the case before the ICJ and the enduring partnership between the Government and the FCD to protect Belize's sovereignty and natural biodiversity.
