The first picture of Aung San Suu Kyi in years - released tonight by Myanmar’s military-backed government which says it has moved her to house arrest. Suu Kyi, who is 80, has been in prison for five years since the armed forces seized power.

Kan het niet beter zeggen dan hoe @DickBerlijn het zegt. En het is veel beter dat hij het zegt dan dat ik het zeg.

#Halsema pleit voor #excuses voor de #Molukkers in Nederland. Zeer terecht en “long overdue”. Mensen maken fouten. Niets bijzonders. Hoe we met die fouten omgaan zegt alles over onze samenleving. Er zijn in het verleden fouten gemaakt en daarvoor zijn excuses op zijn plaats.

“The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace”. In these challenging times, the life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi offers guidance on which path to take.

Peace, carved in stone. On Chinese Language Day, master Si Weihao brings to life the message of “World Peace” through Chinese seal engraving — an ancient artistic practice inscribed on UNESCO’s #IntangibleHeritage List. This refined art form, rooted in centuries of tradition, continues to transmit cultural knowledge, craftsmanship and values across generations. 🎥 © Central China Normal University @UNESCO_chinese #ChineseLanguageDay

On April 3, 1968, the night before he was assassinated, my father delivered what would be his final speech, “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop.” He spoke with a clarity that came from conviction, not certainty. He acknowledged the difficulty of the days ahead, yet he was not moved by fear. He was anchored in purpose and in a faith that justice would prevail. What stands out to me is not only what he said, but how he said it. He was preparing people to stay committed, to stay disciplined, and to continue the work, even without him. His words are not just history. They are instruction. Watch the full speech: youtu.pulse.ly/fymqiqfrfx #MLK #BelovedCommunity #Nonviolence365

We spoke to diplomats, advisers, scholars, experts and current and former officials in China. Almost all of them see the war in Iran as a grave American error. Register for free to read why: econ.st/416vZDK
