UNDEFEATED.

The promise of socialism is that state planning will lead to abundance. Abundance means building stuff. Democrats can’t build anything locally because building is competition. What they call socialism is nimbyism at best. More houses in Vermont would mean that Sanders voters can’t sell their homes for as much. More hospitals in Vermont means that Sanders voters can’t charge as much for health services. Competition is uncomfortable. That’s why Sanders can only promise that someone else will pay for everything. No one has to compete to deliver more goods and services at a better price. At worst, taxing “the rich” to pay for free healthcare and free housing in Vermont, where Sanders can’t build a doghouse, means that investors funding hospitals and homes in Texas have less capital to fund hospitals and homes in Texas. This is how the shortages spread. In classic Soviet fashion, Sanders wants to force his own busted economics on people who didn’t vote for him because his own state wants shortages.
