It's a cold morning and this afternoon below seasonal highs are expected again with 40s and 50s. Overnight tonight we are expected even colder temperatures with widespread frost. Temperatures will then quickly warm heading into this weekend getting back above seasonal. @KOBITV

Brrrr... Grab the coat and get ready to scrape off the windshield before hitting the road this morning. Temperatures area 10-20 degrees colder than yesterday morning. There are still light spotty showers mainly in the Cascades, but this activity won't last much longer. @KOBITV

10:35a- Cold front beginning to move into our area and the heaviest precipitation will continue ahead of the front, then on & off shower chances after the front passes. After the snow depth briefly dropped to the single digits at Crater Lake, a foot of snow is expected today.

Quiet conditions are going to be short lived today with our next front moving into the Northwest. Rain & mountain snow will increase across the area late today. The heaviest of the precipitation will be early Wednesday with travel issues returning to our higher terrain. @KOBITV

Crater Lake gained a couple of inches in snow over the weekend but the snowpack is still 90" below normal. Lower elevation rain pushed us in the positive for our monthly departure, and we have more on the way this week, but we are still very behind for the water year. @KOBITV

A cold front this week will bring heavy mountain snow to the Cascades Tuesday night into Wednesday. Expect travel impacts above 5000 ft due to higher snowfall rates. Conditions should improve Wednesday afternoon as we break into sunnier and slightly warmer weather.

Snow showers overnight are warranting a Winter Weather Advisory from 8:00 pm tonight through 11:00 am tomorrow for Western Siskiyou County. Snow accumulations up to 13 inches are possible over mountain peaks and ridges. This will likely make travel difficult over higher terrain.
