“My pastor is a very respectable man; his name is Femi Paul. He said many wise things to me when tension was building up between me & my dad. My entire church community came together to raise money for me to move to the USA. Shout to Grace Assembly.” - Nigerian wrestler Oba Femi

You need to respect mobile app developers. Any amount they charge for an app is always worth it. Just pay.

🚨Arsenal will pay Chelsea an extra £30M for Kai Havertz if they win the Champions League. Arsenal will pay another £20M for Madueke if they win both the UCL and EPL. Arsenal will pay £8M for Kepa if they also do the double. That's Incredible business by Chelsea................

Tiktok has to have the worst algorithm in the world. I've deliberately consumed tech content multiple times to let the app know that's what I'm there for, but it still sends me notifications of half naked girls every single day.

Look at this hillbilly. You could remove your unpeopled app from the Nigerian app store but decided not to remove your fake story from a supposed Nigerian. Your marketing gimmick paid off.

We have removed Kled from the Nigerian app store and IP banned the entire region. The first thing I would like to say is I have nothing against Nigeria. I have a ton of friends from this region and these were some of our earliest app adopters. Genuinely, thank you all for the support. Kled has been up and running and out of beta for 4 months now. We have paid out hundreds of thousands of people for their data, and our users have uploaded over 1 billion assets onto our platform. After several months of uploads we found that Nigeria had a ≈95% fraud rate. Instead of real, usable data, users were uploading pictures of black screens, duplicate photos, internet generated images, AI generated images, etc. at an unimaginable scale. In comparison, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines have a less than 10% fraud rate across 10x the userbase size. Our fraud system is fast to catch these issues but the level of complexity of these schemes is getting out of hand. This weekend we were flooded with thousands of fake Japanese passports and identity cards with Nigerians photoshopped onto them in our KYC system. That was the final straw. As a startup we can't afford to eat the costs of that data overhead, so we temporarily removed the app from the region while we improved our fraud detection and banning system to quickly filter out bad actors when the time is right. On top of all of this, every time we make a post there is someone asking us to bring the region back within seconds. We hear you, but it's gotten out of hand. We've made this decision with great care. We love everyone who has genuinely supported Kled from Nigeria, and we hope to return when the time is right. -Kled Team

@TosinOlugbenga No one would expect them to steal. Who would want to accept something less than what the local rate is?

You want the Foreign Nigerians to go and steal to pay you? Where will the Foreign Nigeria get money to pay you foreign pay rate? From his £2500 monthly salary? Many of you should be grateful that those foreign Nigerians are still paying what they can pay. Many of them are running businesses or startups that has ZERO revenue. I hope they all STOP hiring.
Black Jaguar@A_Feranmi

Global pay scale is a tricky conversation. Two things: 1. Salaries follow revenue, and revenue follows macro realities. Nigeria is poor. 2. Also, many foreign Nigerians don’t like to pay. Some even offer less than what you’d earn locally. It’s horrible!

Lol @woye1 Woye, whatever you guys like, do it against Peter. The worst outcome is that he doesn’t contest. Would you be happy then? I feel sad for you. Tinubu will leave in four years. He is an old man. At a point he will die. But you’re still young, Woye. You have children. They will grow up in a Nigeria where their next JAMB exam trip could be the last you will see them. They will grow up in a nation where the standard of living is similar to that of Sudan. They will not be able to afford the barest of lives because they will be paying debts they never spent because Tinubu borrowed and embezzled. They will grow up in a nation where they might not be able to even dream to build a house because a bag of cement might be 25,000 by the time they become adults. Tinubu will go, but you will live in a nation where you would need to be a politician who has embezzled or a really rich person to afford a vacation. Your children won’t know what free education is because BAT has taken that away, and any hope of it coming back. But your concern is Peter Obi. You know your country is burning up but you must vilify the Igbo man to distract yourself. What a tragedy that is your life. Stories of people like you will be told to warn the future generations of the accursed. Anathema.

@SwagOnPoint_0 When they don't seem to want you or tighten things up, what you always yell at them is "racist", "fascism", "white supremacy", "white nationalism". Your brothers in Ghana and South Africa are hunting other Africans and pushing them away.
