It is the PEOPLE in those marches: In other words, Muslim extremists and their far-left enablers – a poisonous alliance that despises the West, despises Jews, and despises everything Britain once stood for. You will not change their hearts by banning their parades. They will simply find new ways to express the hatred they were taught, many from the cradle. This is not political incompetence. This is the deliberate, sustained betrayal of the British people by their own political class. Our political elite imported sectarianism, bigotry, and hatred into a peaceful, tolerant country – and now, when the consequences are plain for all to see, they offer us meaningless platitudes and milquetoast bans. Polish patriotism in the 20th century is incredible. In World War Two they fought tooth and nail on every possible front they could. Italy, France, North Africa, Holland, the Eastern Front, the Atlantic, everywhere. Just desperate to get their hands on the enemy. Throwing in whole divisions in far-flung theatres. To prove themselves. And to defeat the enemy that had conquered their homeland. Part of the explanation is that Poland went so long without a country of their own. They were partitioned, conquered, torn apart by their bigger neighbours. They got a brief gasp of fresh air in 1918. Got their country back. When this was taken from them again in 1939, it was like knocking the water bottle out of the hands of a man dying of thirst, just as he had picked it up. So, they fought to get a country back. And then they were betrayed, again. The Soviets conquered them, the Western Allies abandoned them. So they waited, and prayed, and continued to resist. Then in 1989 they got a country back again. They still have it. This is why the eyes of the world are on Poland. It is at the juncture of world history once again. And it is a serious country.

Norway sees a energy crisis and reopens 3 North Sea gasfields. Britain sees a crisis and hopes it resolves itself. One is policy. The other is wishful thinking. This isn’t sustainable.
