You know one thing,
During Nana Addo’s presidency, we all saw the level of insults, hate speech, and outright attacks from some NDC officials. It was intense, and it was constant. Yet, under his leadership, we didn’t see people being picked up or intimidated the way it’s starting to look now. Freedom of speech actually felt alive.
I mean, how do you even explain statements like when Sammy Gyamfi said God should Kill/Stirke Nana Addo? How does it get to that level, and still, nothing happens?
Now look at what’s going on. Is this a case of tasting your own words coming back? Because suddenly, criticism is being met with threats and arrests.
Asem ooo.
Ama Ghana 💔💔🥹so now the country is becoming unsafe just because you choose to speak or criticize?
If that’s where we are heading, then we really need to ask ourselves some serious questions about the kind of democracy we are practicing.
