Saya pernah bertanding di setiap 13 negeri di Malaysia. Semua saya sayang. Semua pon sayang saya. Semoga hari yang bersejarah diraikan ini penuh dengan semangat perpaduan dan kejayaan. Marilah kita terus bekerjasama untuk mempertahankan negara kita yang tercinta ini dengan penuh rasa bangga dan patriotik. Ingat kawan-kawan! Bersatu teguh bercerai roboh ! 13 negeri bersama, tidak satu pun kita patut lebih bagikan… tidak satu pun patut kita pinggirkankan ! Selamat Hari Malaysia !   马来西亚日快乐 🇲🇾  When the Paralympic heroes returned to Malaysia, there was a moment that made my hair stand up with pride. The medal winners walked together, beaming broadly walking through the KLIA arrival door. In that band, we have three from Peninsular Malaysia and one each from Sabah and Sarawak. All fighting for the same flag since 1963. This is the Malaysia where every state you go, you can find your nasi lemak , char kuey teow, roti canai and laksa. That’s how beautiful our country are. Let’s never ever be complacent about it. Happy Malaysia Day, everyone! Side note: Breakfast pagi tadi. Sambil menghirup kopi bersama Kingston. Yang lain tak sampai lagi ke meja makan.  Kingston : “Papa , wa pon sudah 11 tahun. Teenager sudah. Wa rasa boleh dah start cari girlfriend”  Terkejut sampai tersembur air kopi. Tapi sebagai bapa yang mithali (haha… syok sendiri), aku menyusun semula emosi dan fikiranku.  Dunia sekarang kan bapa-anak kena fren-fren.  Aku: “ Kingston, bukan kata xleh tapi u tak rasa terlalu muda ke? Pentingkanlah pelajaran dulu”.  Kingston: “ Papa, awek yang aku target tu lembut dan jenis tak marah-marah. Suara pon lembut. Kalo aku tunggu seperti jejak kamu, besar kemungkinan dia dah disambar kawan-kawan aku. Yang tertinggal untuk aku hanya jenis marah-marah, cam mak aku tu… bini ko. “  Aku terus terketawa tanpa memikirkan consequences. Suay tak suay. 2007 China Open Woman Singles Champion ngam-ngam masuk ke kitchen. Terus, terkeluar double smash yang lama tak keluar…. Lunch pon kurang masak untuk 2 orang. Selamat Hari Malaysia semua. Dan tahniah Pearly-Thinaah !

Semasa saya turun gelanggang semasa Olympic pertama saya, walaupun bertemu Ng Wei dari Hong Kong , bergetar juga tangan I kerana cemas. Peluh tak henti-henti membasahi baju yang dipakai. Fikiran menjadi kusut masai. Coach nampak I gelisah, dia tahu yang I dah cemas. Dia pon call Team Malaysia punya psychologist atau motivator (tak sure role) mari bagi ketenangan. Mamat ni pon sampai kat aku. Terus dia pegang tangan aku nk bagi motivational speech “Jason, jangan cemas. Ini kali pertama kau I tahu. Tapi Jason, teguhkan mental dan emosi. Jangan cemas”. Aku pandang coach. Coach pandang aku. Kita heran. Sejak bila nama I Jason. Aku pon tiao “Weh bro. Aku bukan Jason la.” Mamat tu balas “ I tau. Jason ialah nama saya. Saya pon cemas gak. Ini kali pertama saya jadi psychologist untuk acara begitu besar. So sebelum I motivate u, I motivate i sendiri dulu”. Terus gelak beruk aku dan coach… Terus hilang cemas aku.. Maybe itu la cara tersendiri psychologist ini. Jangan cemas, raih emas, Atlit alit kita ! #JanganCemasRaihEmas #KitaSemuaTeamMAS
