Every time I try to do something I get an unpleasant reminder that I don’t get to do things that work out, only things that crash and burn and contribute to my long term unhappiness

Even without any other players, ESO is more alive and vibrant than the main titles, so even if Bethesda outsourced their next Elder Scrolls installment, there's so much potential there. At this point I'd take a linear narrative focused RPG like Dark Messiah or Dishonored.

Maybe unpopular opinion, but I really like ESO. I think there's tons to love there. But my biggest compliment for it is I'd love it far more if it WASN'T an MMO. Zenimax made a lot of design decisions and balancing tweaks around it being an MMO.

Bethesda. Buddies. Listen. We've already had two Fallout games since the last elder scrolls game. Yes I'm counting the mobile one. Why shouldn't I. Don't do this. Please. Don't make it three. Be kind. ESO is good but I shouldn't have to settle for an MMO title this long.
