@BBCNews reports about the #ARAP rejection of Afghan Special Forces allies are very disappointing. @BritishCouncil teachers also suffered the same unfair treatment, & were left to suffer Taliban brutality as a result. Many are still stuck in Afghanistan. Let's get them to safety

Great to see @BritishCouncil is keen to support displaced teachers from various countries... no mention of Afghan teachers though! What support will BC provide for Afghan teachers a) arriving in the UK b) stuck in Pakistan c) hiding in Afghansitan? #AtRiskTeachers @EwartBiggs

Here's the @BritishCouncil pledge for supporting displaced teachers. It refers to "well-being needs, recognising & addressing trauma..." Over 100 Afghan BC teachers were wrongly left behind when the Taliban took power. Many are still stuck in 🇦🇫 & 🇵🇰 - they need support from BC.

Afghan @BritishCouncil teachers enabled learners all across Afghanistan. Sadly, when the Taliban took power we left our teachers behind. Over 2 years later, 20+ remain in hiding in Afghanistan, with a further 25 stuck in hotels in Pakistan. @RishiSunak please fix. #AtRiskTeachers

While some @BritishCouncil teachers have at last been relocated to 🇬🇧, many more remain stuck in hiding in Afghanistan or in hotels in Pakistan. They've been waiting for well over 2 years now. @GOVUK needs to finish the job & get the teachers to safety @FCDOGovUK #AtRiskTeachers

Former @BritishCouncil teacher 'Ali' spent over 2 years waiting to be relocated after the Taliban took control of 🇦🇫. 2 weeks ago he arrived in 🇬🇧, and went straight to the local library to learn. He is a strong believer in the value of education. @RishiSunak #AtRiskTeachers

Welcome Jawid.🥳 I was happy to meet an Afghan family today who recently arrived in the UK. It was cold, but the children could safely play outside in the fresh air and start school in Jan. Many more #AtRiskTeachers are still waiting relocation for the same simple human rights.
Joe Seaton@AtRiskTeachers

Encouraging to see another @BritishCouncil teacher safely relocated to 🇬🇧. After 2 years hiding from the Taliban & waiting in Pakistan, Jawid is finally able to start living again, free from fear & persecution. Many more #AtRiskTeachers remain stuck, awaiting #ACRS relocation.

Encouraging news for some of the Afghan @BritishCouncil teachers stuck in Pakistan. After well over 2 years of waiting, approx 15 of the teachers will be relocated to the UK in the next 2 days on flights provided by @GOVUK. Many more remain stuck in 🇵🇰 & 🇦🇫. #AtRiskTeachers

"Why would you forego a legal safe route?" Our Afghan allies have been waiting to be relocated for well over 2 years & are still in danger. Would it really be surprising if they gave up on the 'safe & legal routes', as #ACRS & #ARAP have been so slow & dysfunctional? @amgsharpe

After waiting for well over 2 years, former @BritishCouncil teacher 'Nazila' has finally arrived safely in the UK with her family. She is a determined Afghan woman who has survived great hardship & suffering. Many more #AtRiskTeachers remain stuck in Afghanistan & Pakistan.

Good to see @GOVUK will once again be reminded of their responsibilities to Afghans who assisted the UK-effort in Afghanistan. Hopefully Baroness Smith can remind @GOVUK of the plight of #BritishCouncil teachers stuck in Pakistan & Afghanistan. #AtRiskTeachers @RishiSunak

@ukhomeoffice @bishopSarahM Finally, in #LordsQs from 3.05pm, Baroness Smith of Newnham questions the government on the number of Afghan nationals eligible for resettlement who are currently in Pakistan and at risk of repatriation to Afghanistan. 📺 Watch online at the link in our bio 4/4 🔽

Great that @GOVUK is putting on flights for some of the abandoned Afghan #BritishCouncil teachers. The job is not yet done. While a small number have been promised relocation this week, the majority remain stuck in Pakistan & Afghanistan. Let's get them to safety #AtRiskTeachers

On #HumanRightsDay2023, Afghan #BritishCouncil teachers taught values of equality, inclusion and diversity which endangered their lives .They continue to live wretched lives, in hiding in Afghanistan or stuck in hotels in Pakistan waiting for relocation to UK. #AtRiskTeachers
