Two tournaments - two wins! Great job JV and sophomores! 🏆

This weekend, we helped our oldest move into her first apartment. She’s starting her first job. Her own place. Her own life. To every parent in this season of life—I see you. It’s emotional. It’s exciting. It’s bittersweet. You spend years guiding them… and in what feels like a blink, it’s time to step back and let them fly. Here’s what I’m reminding myself: We didn’t raise them to stay. We raised them to launch. And this moment means we did our job. Cheering on every parent out there navigating this big shift. We’re in it together. 💛

It’s hard to describe just how wonderful it is to have football back on TV.

Before I hit the stage, I do one thing: I step out from backstage and watch the people walking in. Each person has their own story, which I try to envision. The new hire filled with nerves and excitement. The newly promoted manager trying to find his lane. A guy sending one last email. Two people talking and laughing. Someone texting their kid. A leader trying to reignite her team. The event team who trusted me with this moment. And I remember: This is why I speak. To lead. To inspire. To connect with courage and optimism. When I focus on that, everything else fades. Grateful for every room, and every person in it. Here are just a few recents. 📸

I don’t know who needs this reframe, but here it is. Delta just sent me new tags which is basically a reminder that I spend a lot of time in the air. And for years, I felt guilty about that. Three girls at home. A demanding career. And plenty of comments like: “Who’s watching the kids?” “Don’t you miss them?” Of course I did. But now that my girls are older, I see it differently: They didn’t watch me leave. They watched me lead. So if you’re a working parent feeling that tug, here’s your reminder: You’re not choosing between your dreams and your kids. A lesson in what you can do if you put in the work: @CCA_Activities senior Landon Prince wasn't even a finalist last year in the discus, but today at Drake he bests his PR, throwing 185-00.25. Over the course of a year he's improved his shot put distance by 15 feet, and his discus best by 18 feet. Now he's only the 6th boys high school athlete to sweep the throwing events at the Drake Relays!

The CCA girls' golf team started the season strong with a win against Marion! Scoring conditions were tough, but the team managed to shoot a 205, while Marion shot a 258. 🥇 Brooklyn Lee captured medalist honors with a 41. 🥈 Gwen Dao was runner-up medalist, shooting a 51.
