When I was 17 I had my mom wire $1k to an off shore brokerage account in the Trinidad and Tobago. Why? The PDT rule. I wanted to day trade penny stocks and didn’t have $25k So I had to go to an unregulated offshore broker that probably could have stolen my cash and there’s nothing I’d be able to do about it. This is why the new PDT rule is the BEST thing for traders. It will allow people to stop: - unregulated brokers - funded accounts - getting loans to be above $25k Yes, I’ve spoken to traders that have taken out LOANS just to get above PDT restrictions. A step in the right direction and anyone who says it’s BAD for new traders is crazy

Doesn't matter what the cost is. In many states, about 20% of all high density dwellings have to be low income people as a precondition of approval for building. I'm sure there's slight differences by town and state, but that is how even luxury neighborhoods are ghettofied.
