@tetrisgm Mmm… maybe click that documentation button to see every component and it’s API 🫣

@naelodev Not planned, but I guess React Bits have good options

@kettanaito Or Monaspace Neon, everytime I try something different, I return to this gem

Implemented the Slug Algorithm in WebGPU.
It uses a pure TypeScript text shaping pipeline to convert Inter.ttf into Bézier curves completely without Harfbuzz or WASM.
Tysm for dedicating the patent to the public domain.

New blog post: A Decade of Slug This talks about the evolution of the Slug font rendering algorithm, and it includes an exciting announcement: The patent has been dedicated to the public domain. terathon.com/blog/decade-sl…

@Jim_Faster As for docs - thank you, I spent way too much time testing concepts and tweaking little details
English

@madebyhex reactbits vibe. I like the modern cyberpunk feel of you documentation page. Feels elegant.
English

@Jim_Faster Yes, the concept is similiar to my man’s @davidhdev work, just a little bit more underground 🫣

@shiyam_kashfiq Right now, Motion Core adds about 600kb uncompressed to bundle due to three.js usage, in the future I want move off three js and glsl to wgsl and Motion GPU - minimalist WebGPU framework Im developing exactly for this purpose
English

@madebyhex Gorgeous visuals. Curious how you balance bundle size with those shader backgrounds
English

@interplato Important distinction:
Motion Core - Animated UI library
Motion GPU - WebGPU framework

@madebyhex Thanks! Is there a link to the playground site you originally tweeted?
English

@interplato In terms of performance - some shaders, especially those using raymarching and higher DPRs can cause performance issues, but in Motion core I prefer, simpler, performant implementations
English

@madebyhex Do these weigh down a webpage? Never tried these but they’re gorgeous
English

@madebyhex hey can you add new badge beside new components please

@orcdev @josefbender_ In a world where everyone wants to ship as much as possible in a split second with the help of 200 agents, it’s good to pause for a moment and simply be grateful for people
English

@orcdev @josefbender_ It depends - I'm a rather small dev, but Svelte community is much more appreciative. So far I've built three bigger projects: one UI library, one WebGPU framework and a small desktop app and each of them had bigger reach than all my React projects combined :D
English

This.
A client of mine is using sveltekit and too much time is put in just building a ui library.
You may love it hate it, but React's ecosystem is unbeatable.
OrcDev@orcdev
maturing is realizing there is no official shadcn for Svelte no ecosystem = no ready blocks just you and burning tokens rebuilding the same UI over and over again painful
English

I used to make these arguments but it’s just wrong
1. A shadcn for svelte exist
2. UI blocks for the most part are just tailwind… they’ll work with svelte
The ecosystem argument imo has no legs anymore
Svelte is the way
