Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan is in solitary confinement since October 16, 2025. He has spoken to his sons only twice in 2025 and once in February 2026 after Supreme Court orders. He has been denied books to read. He has received only 3 of the dozen books that we managed to get to adiala through a judge. Then, a perfectly health and fit Imran Khan suddenly develops a clot in his eye. He was not provided medical assistance. For two weeks, he repeatedly told the jail superintendent that he CANNOT SEE. The Adiala Jail superintendent Ghafoor Anjum DELAYED calling in a specialist for three months. By the time the eye doctor came, the delay caused permanent damage to Imran Khan’s eye. We are extremely worried that his other eye could also develop a clot. Imran khan has repeatedly sent messages over past few months that he is not satisfied with the treatment and there is only marginal improvement after the first injection in the eye. No improvement since then. Over the past month, Bushra Bibi, his wife has also developed an eye condition and was operated upon last week. Imran khan and his wife are being tortured through solitary confinement. We have repeatedly protested, demanding Imran Khan to be examined and treated at Shifa International Islamabad. There is an urgent need to identify the cause of the blood clot. Our worry is that his other eye could also develop a clot unless proper diagnosis is done and it’s treated accordingly This is inhumane and a violation of all fundemental and human rights of a prisoner under Pakistan and International laws.

Addressing the charged crowd, Afridi announced that he had conveyed a message to Khan, who remains detained at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, stating: "I am ready, the nation is ready — if you give us the go-ahead, we will be in Islamabad the next day." The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister also outlined the party's upcoming political roadmap, announcing a visit to Azad Jammu and Kashmir on April 25 coinciding with PTI's foundation day, followed by a Lahore rally on May 1 — all under the direct guidance of the incarcerated party founder. A resolution adopted unanimously at the rally highlighted rising inflation, increased electricity tariffs, higher fuel prices, and persistent load-shedding as major burdens on Pakistani households. Afridi also accused the federal government in Islamabad of denying Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi access to medical treatment of their choice, calling it "sheer injustice" and "contrary to the Constitution." Notably, Khan himself directed the party to postpone its planned Rawalpindi rally earlier this month, citing sensitive U.S.-Iran diplomatic talks taking place in the Pakistani capital Islamabad — a move that surprised many within PTI's own alliance. Cracks within the broader opposition bloc were also visible, with key ally Mahmood Khan Achakzai skipping the Mardan rally after reportedly expressing dissatisfaction over not being consulted on the event. Political analysts note that PTI's street movement, while still capable of drawing large crowds, has not yet forced the government in Islamabad into meaningful negotiations over Khan's release. The pattern so far suggests that rallies are keeping public sentiment alive — but without a concrete negotiation framework or a shift in the establishment's position, they are unlikely to be the mechanism that opens Khan's cell door. Whether PTI's leadership moves beyond rallies toward a more structured political dialogue — one that could genuinely put Khan's release on the table — remains the defining question of Pakistan's current political moment.

Imran Khan’s sisters are still outside Adiala Jail waiting to meet their brother Imran Khan. It is shameful behavior from Govt and their boss Asim Munir to not allow meeting today even after good will gesture of delaying Jalsa last week. In future, if anyone delays a protest event, they will not have any support of Awaam because of this selfish behavior. Infact, they will be questioned fiercely for giving in without demanding rightful meetings with IK. They are clearly not making decisions in favor of Pakistan. Today’s compliance for meeting per orders of the court would have gone a long way towards “Peace at Home” but another opportunity wasted by Asim Munir & the Form 47 Govt.
