Despite my "pronunciation guides " even I do not attempt the Geordie accent. My "natural" accent is "rural Nth Tyneside" and not what most would commonly associate with "Geordie". Do I understand it ? Of course. Do I speak it ? No & nor do I claim to. Graeme is 🎯.

This sign should be required viewing for all television & radio producers. In my opinion only two non-Geordie actors have ever managed to pull it off with any realism. One was a likely lad, the other a time lord. And both Liverpudlian. Every other effort just makes you cringe….
