Israel does not target journalists. On April 22, Hezbollah terrorists violated the ceasefire in Lebanon and endangered IDF soldiers. After countless warnings including in this specific area Hezbollah operated, the IDF acted to neutralize an imminent threat posed to IDF soldiers. The IDF is reviewing reports that journalist Amal Khalil, who was present alongside the terrorists during their operation, was hurt in the strike. Israel targets terrorists and regrets any harm caused to those not involved in terrorist activity.

🚨Israel assassinated Imad Miqdad yesterday in a drone strike, targeting his solar-powered phone charging station in Gaza yesterday.
Miqdad had been providing civilians with a rare means of communication amid ongoing electricity cuts.

WHAT ABSOLUTE PATRIARCHAL GARBAGE. Stop using Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif to preach that WOMEN should shrink themselves for MEN and call it virtue. They did not leave work because marriage taught them their place. They have MONEY, POWER and CHOICE. That is AUTONOMY.
Women do not work 10 to 12 hours to perform independence. Women work because FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE is LIBERATION. It protects women from ABUSE, CONTROL and MALE ENTITLEMENT.
And why is sacrifice always demanded from WOMEN. Why are MEN never told to give up careers for children. Because PATRIARCHY still expects women to provide unpaid labor and stay grateful.
Stop glorifying DEPENDENCE. Stop packaging OBEDIENCE as EMPOWERMENT.
FEMINISM fought for women to have choices beyond serving husbands, not to be pushed back into submission.

Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif all of them stopped working or doing very little work after marriage and kids. That doesn't make them a lesser independent woman, it only tells that if your husband is earning well and respect your hardwork for taking care of kids, it's wise to give time to your kids and family than going out and spend 10-12hrs on work just to show that you're "independent".

Are we going to be speaking about abusive parenting and the effect it has on men?
Or are we not going to be discussing this aspect of many Indian parents at all?
Especially this aspect of stripping kids naked (common punishment in schools, have been there, seen it, threatened with it), hitting black and blue with slippers, belts, objects; rubbing chilli powder in the eyes of her son as punishment (this mother was given an award for best parent by a local council in Telangana) - all of this is boys only. I am not getting to the point of girls being called 'Slut' in their own languages, by their own families.

They could barely bring themselves to say her name and when they did used the dog whistle “Hezbollah aligned” in order to dehumanise Amal and justify her killing by I$rael.
Amal Khalil was a friend to me and many others having worked in the field since the 2006 war. What she did was unique, reporting from the south and raising the voices of the people there who are subjected to brutal treatment and attacks from I$rael.
Amal had herself received numerous death threats, some warning her to leave and if she didn’t her head would be removed from her shoulders. It’s a testament to her that she defied those threats and up until the end continued to expose I$raeli war comes.
She was a brave and courageous journalist, a daughter of the south and her mic and her pen was a tribune of the people. This is what made her so dangerous, with I$rael fearing a camera and a pen more than a Hezb0llah fighter.
Her body wasn’t “found under the rubble” as though it had been mysteriously placed there. I$rael targeted a car in front of her, when she sheltered in a building it was struck collapsing it, then the emergency operations were delayed for at least 7 hours as ambulances and civil defence workers were fired on.
This was a deliberate assassination and a war crime. But try as they might they will never stop journalists here from reporting the truth.
