Even Jesus tells you to take one day at a time! It just makes sense. We have no way of knowing what tomorrow will bring. Only God knows. When we worry about tomorrow, we are wasting the time we need for the worries we face today!

Noticed: the men who rose from absolute zero always know God personally. Not religiously. Personally.

When you realize that Jesus fed 5,000, but only 500 followed him after the meal. He had 12 disciples, but only 3 went farther into the garden, and only 1 stood by him at the cross. The closer you get to the cross, the smaller the crowd becomes.

Dear God, Thank You for this day and for Your endless love. Guide my steps, calm my heart, and strengthen my faith. Help me to do what is right and to trust in Your plan. Fill my life with peace, hope, and joy. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Peter’s denial of Jesus is one of the epic failures described in Scripture. Yet Jesus restored him. How about you? Will you continue to follow even when you fail - knowing God gives you the grace to get back up and follow him along the road of this “Jesus walk”?

PHILIPPIANS 4:8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

PHILIPPIANS 4:13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

Call a friend and thank him or her for being supportive. When you feel like giving up, God will give you the strength to make it. Remember, God’s got this!

So when your life is hard and you feel like giving up, give this a try. Write a list of what makes you happy or proud or hopeful. Listen to music that offers God praise for helping you. Put something on your calendar that you are looking forward to doing.

Jesus was right. When you separate today’s worries from tomorrow’s worries, your day will be easier to manage. Take two blank sheets and make two headings. Heading One: Today. Heading Two: Tomorrow. Fold the tomorrow list and put it somewhere else—maybe your Bible!

Jesus knows we face serious issues that make us worry. Jesus was not saying there is nothing to worry about! He wanted us to see that taking one day’s worry at a time helps us be less worried and weighed down.

It’s also important to notice what Jesus did not say. He did not say there is nothing to worry about. Nor was he urging people to live in denial.
